Please browse the rest of our site if you have the time and we will see you soon.

We are based in an old Victorian public house that opened in 1886 on the site of the Vauxhall Pleasure Gardens; immortalised as the ‘Vanity Fair’ in Thackeray’s eponymous novel.

We serve some of the best loose leaf teas available, proper sandwiches and homemade cakes; not to mention the best full English breakfast in London. Our teas have individual subtle flavours which would be overpowered by the instant, coarse, hit of coffee, so we do not sell it.

We make our own marmalade and jams, all for sale by the jar and all our teas can be bought by the ounce online (to view our range click here). Our meat comes from our local butcher and our fruit and vegetables from the local market gardens around us.

We are trying to be different. We will not hurry you. If you visit us on your lunch break, then have one, you will be more productive in the afternoon. If you want to have a meeting, we will not disturb you. If you are ‘working from home’, we have wifi. If you have children, we have highchairs, a chest of toys, and milkshakes. We always have the daily papers, so please, relax, and share in what we are trying to create, take a load off, and have a cuppa.

Dittybug Music Presents...

LAZY HEART PARADE:

Purveyors of joyful, harmonic folk-pop since 2011, six-piece Lazy Heart Parade are a mainstay of the London alt-folk scene. With half their number hailing from Liverpool and half from the home counties, they were formed through a combination of long-term friendships and trawling of the musical "lonely hearts" pages. They play songs of nostalgic romance with a bitter edge, backing Colin Smith's charming lyrical reflections on modern city life with instantly-appealing melodies crafted on viola, trumpet and mandolin.

Lazy Heart Parade play live in and around London regularly, with their setlist ranging from the hushed and intricate to the rousing and energetic, and with each show generally involving the band mistaking at least one audience member for a celebrity. Recent haunts have included the Green Note, the Sebright Arms and the Gladstone, and their new EP "My Last Goodbye" was launched in March 2015 at the Old Queen's Head.

DARREN MORGAN:

Darren Morgan is a 24 year-old Dublin born singer / songwriter based in London. His raw expressions and soulful voice work in a magical unison that captivates audiences and strips pop melodies back to a skeletal efficiency. Inspired by musicians such as Stevie Wonder and classic soul artists such as, Ray Charles, Darren attended Frank Merrimans Bel Canto School of Music home to Sinead O’Connor And Aslans Christy Dignham.

Darren Morgan is currently gigging around London and is due to release his debut EP titled 'Sorry I'm Late' this side of 2015 which encapsulates Soul, Funk and Pop Rock.

FRAN WYBURN

Singer-songwriter Fran Wyburn is a musician of great story- telling and harmonious inflection. Newly released EP 'Little Moments' is a beautiful collection of unique songs- characterized by rich harmonies and subtle instrumentation, providing a dreamy backdrop to her poetic lyrics. Inspired by the 1960’s folk revival, her style is current, original and spirited; definitely one to watch out for in 2015.
