WELCOME TO THE TEA HOUSE THEATRE

An independent tea house, theatre and events venue in the heart of Vauxhall.

Housed in a beautiful Victorian former pub beside the historic Vauxhall Pleasure Gardens, the Tea House Theatre is a place to eat, drink, meet, work, relax and be entertained.

By day, settle in for exceptional loose-leaf tea, hearty breakfasts, proper sandwiches, homemade cakes and freshly prepared food. By night, the Tea House comes alive with theatre, live music, jazz, poetry, murder mysteries and special events throughout the year.

We are trying to be different. We will not hurry you. If you visit us on your lunch break, then have one — take your time, enjoy your food and go back to work properly refreshed. If you want to have a meeting, we will leave you to it. If you are “working from home”, we have Wi-Fi and plenty of space to settle in.

If you have children, we have highchairs, a chest of toys and milkshakes. We always have the daily papers, so please relax, take a load off and share in what we are trying to create.

There is no rush, no corporate formula and — famously — no coffee. Just good tea, good food, conversation, creativity and a wonderfully individual atmosphere.

Come for breakfast or lunch, spend an afternoon over a pot of tea, join us for dinner and a show, or simply come in and have a cuppa.
